SPACE EXPLORER
Ronald E. Evans
deceased

Portrait of Astronaut Ronald E. Evans in spacesuit with lunar globe on table in front of him. Ronald Evans became an astronaut in 1966 after being a fighter pilot in the Vietnam War. He spent over 300 hours in space on one flight. In 1972, Evans piloted the command module of Apollo 17. This mission was the last manned-flight to the moon. Evans orbited the moon while his fellow crewmates explored its surface.
After leaving NASA in 1977, Evans started his own consulting firm. He died of a heart attack in 1990. Astronaut collectibles have recently become very popular and should grow in value in the next few years
