24th Dynasty 727-715 B.C.; Steatite; Petrie 58; Kheper beetle, symbolic of new life; "Men-hor-ra" beautiful condition and well detailed. Measures approx. 5/8".

Second Intermediate Period 1785-1554 B.C.; Steatite; The underside features protective wings in the top register, followed by an "N" glyph, a solar disk, and a "nefer" symbol meaning good. Two red crowns flank the glyphs. Together they form a message referring to the sun god Re, in praise, with protective symbols allowing the wearer the favor of Royal power and good luck. A wonderful scarab with special powers and meaning; Much clearer and detailed than shown in scan; approx. 3/4".

New Kingdom 1550-1070 B.C.; Steatite; This is an extremely interesting scarab with a personal connection to the past. The underside is an inscription of a personal name, "Nefer-Ah-Re" Unusual in this form; wonderful condition and carving; approx. 9/16"

Middle Kingdom 2040-1784 B.C.; Steatite with traces of green glaze; opposing figures motif with falcons united; measures approx. 11/16".

New Kingdom 1550 - 1070 B.C.; black steatite or hematite; underside inscription carries image of vulture with a "nefer" sign (meaning good or beautiful), supported by a "neb" basket meaning "lord"; measures approx. 1/2"; an uncommon rich black color that is nicer than shown in scan.

Unattributed but genuine.
