Printed in New London by Timothy Green

This note, printed by Timothy Green features delicately detailed cuts and set type on both the face and the back. The center shows the Connecticut coat-of arms and reads:
"The POSSESSOR of this BILL, shall be paid by the treasurer of CONNECTICUT, ONE SHILLING Lawful Money, by the First Day of January, A.D. One thousand seven hundred & eighty one. By Order of Assembly, Hartford, June 7, 1776" It is signed in ink by Benjamin Payne.
